A través de Genbeta (gracias @ausaseo por el link) me entero de que Google está ultimando el desarrollo de un plugin que permitirá al usuario decidir NO ser contabilizado por su software de analítica web Google Analytics (noticia original en el blog de Google Analytics).

As you probably already know, the more websites that link to your website, the higher you’ll rank in search engines. Now there are a lot of shady ways to get backward links, such as buying text links from brokers or website owners. Or even worse, hacking old WordPress blogs and adding in links to your website.

Llevo tiempo apostando por Facebook como próximo líder de Internet de la decada 2010-2019, desde hace más de un año que lo comentó en conferencias. Incluso en el último First Tuesday en Madrid sobre Reputación Digital me atreví a comentar que Google no existirá en 10 años (tal y como lo conocemos ahora) y que las recomendaciones sociales iban a ser mucho más importante que el posiconamiento en buscadores.

One of the things I always want to do with online maps is rotate them - I am used to that with real, physical maps. As physical maps become a lot more clever these days (for example have you seen the zoomable map?) it is time we can do this with the online ones, too.
